Hello, I'm Chantelle

Reconnect With Your Inner Wisdom

Are you longing to feel more grounded and aligned with who you truly are? Have you been grappling with a lack of self-acceptance or belonging? You deserve a space where you can return to your deepest knowing.

As a therapist who values Afro-Indigenous wisdom and contemplative practice, I specialize in working relationally and intuitively with individuals, couples, and families in mending the disconnection created by trauma to remember that the body knows the way to healing. I integrate IFS, EMDR, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and practices that support your growth, like astrology, contemplative inquiry, and ancestral healing.

In sessions, I’ll help you slow down, attune to your body, and tap into the stories and legacies shaping your experiences. My practice weaves clinical, evidence-based counseling approaches with spirituality, empowering you to build more loving relationships and learn to trust your intuition.

I offer virtual professional therapy services to individuals, couples, and families of all backgrounds. I can also provide spiritual insights to clients working with other therapists. Whether you’re navigating a crisis, exploring your ancestral legacies, or seeking support through a life transition, I encourage you to contact my practice to schedule a free consultation.

What I Do

My Approach To Therapy

I bring a spiritual lens to social work and clinical practice that honors the mind-body connection, empowering people to discover their true nature. My approach is particularly impactful for people who have been historically and politically marginalized, including QTBIPOC individuals, couples, and families, and by working within these dimensions of culture, I feel uniquely qualified to work with all people.

I offer a therapeutic space that incorporates contemplative practices, Afro-indigenous healing traditions, astrological counseling, ancestral lineage healing, and trauma modalities rooted in neuroscience and evidence-based practice.

Our communities, relationships, the dominant culture, and the unique circumstances we are each born into strongly influence our individual perspectives and the messages we internalize. The struggles we face involve reconciling our pasts, being present with what is unfolding in the moment, and making choices rooted in our values in the future.

I help clients explore these layers with self-compassion, reconnecting them with cultural knowledge that may have been suppressed or overlooked. I am guided by the belief that each of us carries an innate wisdom leading us towards healing, authenticity, and genuine relationships.

Modalities

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing

This evidenced-based, 8-phase, neurocognitive, trauma therapy targets traumatic memories and negative thoughts.

Internal Family Systems

This evidence-based psychotherapy promotes self-healing by identifying our protective and wounded parts that override our relationship to the core self.

Sensorimotor Psychotherapy

This somatic therapy treats trauma and PTSD by mindfully restoring the mind-body connection, tapping into the wisdom of the body for greater stability and resourcing.

Couples and Family Therapy

Using the framework of the both/and to treat the couple and family (system) as one, focusing on intergenerational dynamics which lead to  ongoing relational conflicts.

The exploration of embodied approaches to transforming trauma and the powerful embodied wisdom and healing arts of the Tibetan Tantras

This approach moves beyond talk therapy to incorporate spirtual practices and insights based in Ancestral Lineage Healing and Traditional Astrology.

I'm Here to Help

The Principles That Shape My Practice

As a descendant of people who survived the Middle Passage and endured enslavement in the United States, I hold the stories of my ancestors’ survival, resistance, and wisdom as a foundation of my work. Honoring Afro-Indigenous perspectives reminds us that our ancestors were not solely victims.

They were also community builders and visionaries who found ways to love, resist, and thrive despite unimaginable conditions. These stories remind me, and the clients I work with, of the profound capacity of the human spirit to heal, transform, and create meaning.

I am dedicated to sharing my knowledge with my greater community. I serve on the faculty as a core teacher at the Nalanda Institute for Contemplative Sciences, where I teach in the yearlong Embodied Wisdom Course. Additionally, I’m a practitioner in training with the Ancestral Medicine Network, and I co-published an article on developing anti-racist social work practice at a comprehensive cancer center.

Outside of therapy, I’m also passionate about studying astrology and herbalism, and I enjoy making oils, teas, and salves to share with my family and friends. I cherish time spent with my loved ones, and joy and laughter are my medicine.
